Nylon Bonnet

Sometimes you don’t need more bit, you just need a little help getting one to bring their head back down and stay balanced.

Our All-Nylon Bonnet, also commonly called a war bonnet, applies pressure across the poll when the horse raises its head. That pressure encourages the horse to soften, lower its head, and come back into a better position for turns and stops.

The all-nylon design keeps the feel lighter than our bonnets with a leather or wire front, making it a good starting point for a horse that only needs a little reminder.

Best For
Barrel horses that tend to raise their head, get strung out, or need a little help staying balanced through turns and stops.

Light, flexible, and forgiving. A good first step when you want poll pressure without moving into a stronger bonnet.

Rider Note
A handy tuning tool for the horse that just needs a reminder to bring their head back down and stay with you. If this one isn’t quite enough, you can step up to a bonnet with more pressure across the front. Like Nylon with Leather or possibly wire.
