SC-145 2.5” Ring

The SC-145 is a great step-up bit for a younger, sensitive, or less-confident horse that needs a little more control without feeling like you suddenly added a lot of bit.

The top ring attaches to the headstall, while the rein lock gives you some added lift. The mouthpiece is still able to gag and move, giving the horse a little time to respond before reaching full pressure. When you soften your hands, the gag releases quickly, giving the horse that immediate reward for responding correctly.

The drop curb allows the curb to come into play quicker, adding another level of control when you need it without taking away the release of the gag action.

Best For
Young, sensitive, or seasoned horses that need a step up from an O-ring with added lift, quicker curb response, and more control without a lot of shank.

Feel
Responsive, but forgiving. The rein lock adds lift, the gag allows movement and quick release, and the drop curb brings curb pressure into play sooner.

Rider Note
A great transition bit for one that gets intimidated when you add more bit. It gives you a little more help without taking away the movement and release that can keep a sensitive horse confident.
