SC-175J

If you like the quick feel of the SC-75J, but want the added help of a noseband, this is where this bit fits.

The shorter shank keeps it quick and handy without producing as much lift as the SC-175. The rope noseband brings another point of control into the setup, helping you get a horse gathered back up and responsive without having to rely strictly on the mouthpiece.

This is a nice middle-ground combination bit for one that needs more collection and quicker response, but doesn’t need a big shank or a lot of lift.

Best For
Horses that like a shorter, quicker shank but benefit from adding nose pressure to the setup.

Feel
Quick and balanced with moderate lift. More support than a SC-75J, but less lift than the SC-175.

Rider Note
Think SC-75J feel with a noseband added in. A good place to go when you like a shorter shank but need just a little more help getting one gathered and listening.
