Green Futurity Special

Named after a great barrel racer, the Green Futurity Special has been a longtime favorite for both young horses and seasoned competitors.

It offers a great combination of control, lift, flex, and rate while still being light enough to use when starting colts. The gag action allows the noseband to engage first, followed by the curb, with the mouthpiece coming in as more pressure is applied. When you release the reins, the gag gives you an immediate release back to the horse.

The Green helps encourage a horse to stay responsive, shaped and moving forward through the turn without feeling like too much bit.

Best For
Young or seasoned horses that need added nose control, flex, rate, and whoa without everything engaging at once.

Feel
Progressive and balanced. The noseband engages first, followed by curb action, with the mouthpiece coming in as more rein pressure is applied.

Rider Note
The gag gives you an immediate release when you soften your hands, rewarding the horse quickly for responding and helping keep the feel light and responsive.
